What is jazzed?

jazzed is the world’s first dedicated audio-visual streaming destination for jazz with great magazine content and offers an integrated experience to listen, watch and read.

You can use jazzed for free with ads and have access to 10 curated audio channels, loads of video and magazine articles. You can choose to upgrade to jazzed+ to listen without ads and get over 40 curated audio channels and more exclusive video and magazine articles.

jazzed is available as an iOS application (download here) and a browser based web app.

Where is jazzed available?

jazzed is only currently available in the UK. We will keep you posted as soon as we launch in other countries.

If you would like to register your interest in a different country please email us and let us know where you live.

Can I use jazzed for free?

You can use jazzed for free (with ads) and have access to 10 curated audio channels, loads of video and magazine articles. You can choose to upgrade to jazzed+ to listen without ads and get over 40 curated audio channels and more exclusive video and magazine articles.

Do I have to signup?

Yes, to offer you the best (personalised) service, a signup is required. You only need to give your email, create a password and you’re ready to listen, watch and read.

How much does jazzed cost?

You can use jazzed for free (with ads) and have access to 10 curated audio channels, loads of video and magazine articles.

You can choose to upgrade to jazzed+ for £5.99 per month.

This gives:

  • No ads
  • Unlimited access to over 40 curated audio channels, more exclusive video content, magazine articles and reviews.
  • Optimised High Quality Audio (AAC+ 160kbps)
  • The ability to skip up to 6 tracks an hour when using our audio channels

How can I subscribe?

After signing up with your email and creating password, either go to my account area (on web) or settings (in app) and complete your subscription.

How can I pay?

We accept payment by debit or credit card (Mastercard, Visa or American Express) via our web app or via in app purchase on our app.

How can I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time.

  • If you signed up via our web app go to my account and then subscription
  • If you signed up via our iOS app, go to library and then settings and then manage subscription

Features

Can I search for artists, albums and titles?

This feature isn’t available right now but will soon be introduced.

Can I create my own playlists?

This feature isn’t available right now but will soon be introduced.

Why is there a limit to the number of skips?

jazzed+ includes the ability to skip 6 songs per hour. This is related to our license agreements and may change over time.

What is the quality of music and video streaming?

  • All our music is streamed in optimised high quality audio (AAC+ 160kbps)
  • We are going to introduce lossless streaming later this year
  • Most videos are provided in full HD with an audio bitrate of 128kbps

Is there an offline mode available?

Offline mode to allow you to play your music without an active internet connection will be available soon.

How can I add items to my library?

To add an item to your library, simply tap the “heart” icon located throughout the app. Once tapped you can find all of your liked items later in the library section.

Can I watch videos on my TV?

  • jazzed supports Apple Airplay. If your TV is connected to the same WiFi Network you can cast the video straight to your TV, just press the airplay icon.
  • When using Chromecast you can cast the video from the related window in your Chrome Browser to your TV.

Can I use external devices?

  • Yes, jazzed supports Bluetooth/Apple Airplay, so any external speaker connected via Bluetooth or Apple Airplay can be used for playback
  • jazzed has a dedicated Sonos app which you can access in the usual way by adding a ‘music service’ in your Sonos Controller app
